Hey everyone. Just wanted to let my flist know that I have more access to the Internet now and will be online more.
Babysitting for my niece now. She's seven weeks old. She's so cute. And she's funny. She's really good about not crying all the time. She only really fusses when she's hungry or she has gas.

Still alive, lol. I'll be babysitting regularly starting in October, so I will have more frequent access to the Internet. I will be adding some more of my old stories to my journal, plus some new stuff I've been hoarding since the Internet went down at my house.

Jeez, I haven't posted here since before I went to Vegas. Bad me!
Anyway, I had a blast there, and ended up sick when I came home, lol. Went to see Thunder From Down Under. It was a lot of fun to watch. The boys were very pretty. :D
Anyway, not much going on in my life. Interent is still not working, but I'm crossing my fingers for by the end of the year. We're supposed to be building a new house, probably in September. Then we should be able to get a new line in.
I am writing though. Don't know what my word count is exactly. I'd lost track of it and never managed to figure it out. One of these days I'll sit down and do just that.
Been watching the Olympics, cheering on Michael Phelps in particular. One more race tonight! *crosses fingers for the American men's team*
Don't really know what else to say, other than hi, I miss you guys, and I hope you're doing well. :)

I'm going to Vegas! *bounces excitedly*
Got everything packed but the clothes I just washed, my phone charger, and my toothbrush and hairbrush. *makes mental note to grab those things*
Other than that, I am ready! A whole week in Vegas to relax and have fun. I'm not a gambler, so other than going through the casinos and going "ooh, shiny!" I have no interest in gambling.
Still, a week with friends and new people to meet! Yay! *does happy dance* By, all!

Still Alive. Still writing. Internet still down. I'm hoping in another month, month and a half we'll get it back. Not sure yet. Could still be after the trip to Vegas. We'll have to see. Anyway, got lots to post when I get back.

Hey, guys. My Internet is down for the immediate future. It'll probably be a couple of months before I can get it back, so until then, my access will be very sporadic.
I am working on many stories, and so I should have a ton of stuff done by the time my access is up again.
Thank you for those who sent out birthday wishes. They are appreciated, even though I didn't get to see them yesterday.

Not really spoilery, but last night's Numb3rs... Colby in those black slacks he changed into(if you've seen it, you know the scene I'm talking about)...his ass in those made me want to do VERY naughty things to him. He should be afraid...very afraid.

For those of you wondering where I am, I'm still here.
I just got a case of a) food poisoning or b) got hold of something I shouldn't have had.
I think it's b, because the place we ate at has never had a case of food poisoning and is busy enough to not have stuff sitting around anyway. They do, however, use a good amount of chicken and eggs, and they were breakfast tacos, so I think I got some egg in there by accident. I didn't notice, but food poisoning and my allergic reaction hit my body in the same way, so...
I am feeling better, but weak and tired. I should be back online more in a couple of days. For those of you who are awaiting beta jobs (I know, I know, there's no rush on them), I will get to them as soon as I'm able.

Started writing today. I'm feeling better, though my mother just looked at my throat and it's got a white spot on it...does not bode well, so I've started taking penicillin. (I tend to be very susceptible to throat infections when I do get sick.) But I should be okay. It's not too far along, and it's only in one spot.
Anyway, started my novel in 90, which is one of my ATU fics (ATU not meaning the movie, Across the Universe, for those who haven't heard me discuss my multifandom AU. I named it that long before I even heard of the movie, and I'm not changing it now).
So...word count.
2,664/500,000 for the year. Not bad. :D I got the 750 I needed to write for novel in 90; I got the 1370 I needed for the day to make it to 500,000 words in 2008, and I caught up on 1294 of the 8220 words I needed to catch up from the first six days of the year I missed. If I can keep up the pace for the next few days, I should catch up easily, especially with the way my novel in 90 fic is flowing.
I'm off now to work on the Colby/Charlie ficlet requested for Christmas. I have NOT forgotten those. It's just taken me some time to get to them, what with running out of time pre-Christmas, and then being sick. I'd hoped to write several last week. Didn't happen.
ETA: Finished my Colby/Charlie ficlet! Yay! Will update word count tomorrow, as I already closed the file and am too tired to count it. It'll go toward today's count anyway. Goodnight, all!

Still feeling like complete and utter crap, so I won't be writing today. I though I'd go ahead and put up my meter and start working on a list of fics I need to work on this year. Hopefully by the end of the year, I will have many crossed off and a word count I can be proud of. :D
My Fiction List...This is a work in progress, which I will add to as I organize my stuff. Put behind a cut to ease the suffering of my flist. Numbers after description are the word count from 2007. My word count for 2008 will start from there.

Okay, you know how I was going to resume my word count at the beginning of January?
I have a little problem.
I lost track of what I've actually written over the last couple of months (because I have written on various things and smoothed out endings of a few snippets, etc), and now I have no idea what is old, what was new, what has been edited and tweaked...
*headdesk*
Okay, new plan. I'm giving myself a word count for 2008. 500,000 words will be written in 2008. It looks like a lot, but it's really not. It comes out to 1370 words per day. Not a lot for me to write, since when I do write I tend to do at least over 2000 words per day.
So, yeah, that's the plan. Now I just gotta write me out a list of starting word counts today so I can keep track of what I'm doing. Since I feel like crap and don't want to do much of anything else today, working on that is a good idea.

I'm getting sick. My dad had a nasty cold the last few days, and I think I'm getting it now. Throat is scratchy, I'm a little stuffy, and I'm coughing. Not fun.
Anyway, at the beginning of 2007, I got permission from Kira to host a new Advent type calendar thing to replace the SAC, which she is no longer running. I'm calling it the Winter Wonderland Slash Calendar. It'll run from December 1-31st. Same basic format of the SAC (you pick your date and your fandom, write your story, and send it to me by a specified date), but with a few tweaks (not all fic will be on one scrolling page; each will be on their own page, and I am allowing incest for all the Numb3rs and SPN fans). The entire thing will be going live for requests August 1.
I need some help from my flist, though, particularly the anime/manga fans.
I'm making a list of possible fandoms to write for, so people can scroll through, have a look, and get an idea of what they may want to write. However, I have absolutely zero clue about anime and manga...
So, I need you to give me a list of fandoms you can think of, and let me know which is anime and which is manga. Because I am utterly clueless.
The only criteria is that they lend themselves to having slash pairings. So, no fandoms where f/f or het only is the theme (I'm not running a het calendar, and there already is a f/f advent calendar).
HELP!
